Gong Kunping, Purchasing Director of Saintyear Group-Jimay Printing & Dyeing, delivers his report of Status quo and trend of dyeing and printing industry under great pressure from environmental protection
Mr. Gong's report is targeting the solutions of dyeing and printing industry, under the rising pressure of environmental protection. He states his report mainly from four aspects, including sourcing trend, requirement for fabric quality and delivery, environmental protection status of printing & dyeing companies, and response strategies.
Firstly, Mr. Gong introduces Hangzhou Jimay Printing & Dyeing Co., Ltd., which is a subsidiary of Saintyear Holding Group Co., Ltd. By virtue of 30 years¨ experiences in fabric production technology and strategic guidance of differential product development, it has formed specific fabric characteristics and unique advantages, becoming a key fabric enterprise under Saintyear Holding Group.
Secondly, Gong talked about the changes in sourcing trend in recent years. With the ever-increasing living standards of consumers, textiles are not only required to be warm and practical, but also with fashion, personalization and functionality. Diversified raw materials, faster delivery period, and higher capacity and environmental protection requirement are the trends.
Thirdly, the status quo of dyeing and printing enterprises under the general tide of environmental protection in China. On Jan 4, 2016, Ministry of Environmental Protection established the environmental protection inspection team. On Oct 1, 2017, Standard Conditions for the Printing and Dyeing Industry (2017 Edition) and Interim Administrative Measures for the Standard Announcements of the Printing and Dyeing Enterprises were formed and issued. On Jan 1, 2018, environmental protection tax started to be implanted; two new environmental protection policies would be put forward nationwide: Environmental Protection Tax Law and Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law. Pollutant discharge permit system is comprehensively launched and printing and dyeing plants will be operated with certificates.
Fourthly, Gong mentioned about how do companies break through. On the one hand, it requires active responds to the country¨s strategy and shifts to areas with low land and human resources cost. At the same time, it must accelerate industrial upgrading, build high-tech workshops, and produce multifunctional fibers that can adapt to the market.
