Pakistan Textile & Spinning Industry Overview

He delivered the report from three aspects. Firstly, he gave the general information about Pakistan economy and textiles industry.Pakistan has a large spinning sector which is a constant source of demand on cotton crop.Pakistan is likely to remain a net importer of cotton as it does not have sufficient growth taking place. 

Secondly. he introduced current scenarios of Pakistan-China textile trade. Pakistan is the 2nd largest cotton yarn supplier to China, largest cotton siro yarn to China, largest cotton fabric supplier to China and main buyer of Chinese MMF.Pakistan needs Chinese investments in agricultural industries as well as biotechnology. 

Thirdly, he talked about the challenges and opportunities in Pakistan. Pakistan has faced a unique challenge in the last few years related to a combination of topographical issues, shifting weather patterns induced by El Nino and uncertainty by declining trajectory in agricultural commodity prices as a whole.
