Status quo of spinning industry in Vietnam
In 2000-2015, imported cotton yarn in China welcomed explosive and successive growth. Mr. Do Xuan Cuu from Hanam introduced status quo of spinning industry in Vietnam, development of Vietnamese yarn in China, competitiveness and prosperity of Vietnamese cotton yarn.
In recent years, cotton import of Vietnam surged but growth slowed down. Although yarn capacity growth slowed down as well, it still maintained above 7%. To meet demand in China, Vitenamese spinning plants used more cotton from U.S., China and India. Spinning industry in Vietnam owned 5 features, including low cost and intensive distribution.
Cottton yarn import of China from Vietnam increased successively, and even exceeded import from India. Main consuming areas were Southeast China. Structures of Vietnamese and Indian yarns were similar in China, but Vietnam had geographical advantage and exchange rate of Vietnamese dong was relatively flat.
